KIDS' CLUB

Spring Kids Club will be from April 18, 2013 through May 23, 2013. All classes will be held on Thursdays from 2:15 to 3:30p.m. Students will be dismissed directly to their assigned Kids Club room where they will have a snack from 2:15 to 2:30
 
Kids Club Registration Night on Monday, March 18th  from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Registration Morning on Tuesday, March 19th from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Registration for both times will be held in the Springfield Park Cafeteria.In the event that a class does not fill up during the registration times, parents will be given an opportunity to register their children between Wednesday, March 20th and Friday, March 22nd. NO registrations will be accepted after Friday, March 22, 2013.

Sports Spectacular Variety Program

Instructors: Overtime Athletics

K-5 $65
Do you love to play sports? Then you'll love Sports Spectacular! Each week we'll play a different sport or game including: basketball, soccer, flag football, kickball, capture the flag, tag games and MORE! Get moving with games like Bump and Bite, Knights and Dragons, the Numbers Game, and Safe Base. We'll work on teamwork, sportsmanship and fitness, all while having FUN. Students will be divided into K-2 and 3-5 groups.

 

Drama

Instructor: Tammy Record

2-5 $50
Your child will learn the basics such as improvisation, puppetry & short skits. So if your child has an imagination, come join the fun!


Bubble-ology

Instructor: The Science Place

K-2 $65
Find out what a bubble really is as you make your own bubble solution, a mega bubbler, a bubble city plus much more in this fun study of bubbles.

 

Earthworks

Instructor: All Fired Up

K-5 $65
Roll up your sleeves as we dig into the earth to create some great works of art! Inspired by nature, All Fired Up takes students on a creative journey through the garden. Each student will create three original "earthworks" from clay. They will make a clay sun, a clay frog and a clay snail pot. After creating these wet clay projects, students will have the opportunity to practice two- dimensional design as we paint our pieces! In addition to our three wet clay projects, we will glaze a ceramic bud vase. The finished pieces will not only be beautiful, but functional as well. All products are non-toxic and washable. Pieces will be ready for students to take home the last day of class.


Mystery Madness

Instructor: Little Scholars

WANTED...Detectives and Investigators! Get out your magnifying glasses & detective hats as we have clues to decipher and crimes to solve. We’ll put our critical thinking to the test and get to the bottom of each of these mysteries by learning the tricks real investigators use. While experimenting with simple detection techniques, your reasoning skills will grow and problem -solving skills will become better than CSI agents

Art Is Fun - Favorite Things

Art Instructor: Lisa Taguchi-Art C., Inc.

2-5 $50
Take an image of your favorite thing (ex. basketball, soccer ball, camera, cat, butterfly, peace sign, gymnast, whatever you choose) and create six different art pieces representing the image. Clay, watercolor, pop art, collage, acrylic on canvas, and Picasso-style will be used to make our fun and funky art projects.

 

Engineering

Instructor: Bricks 4 Kids

K-5 $60
Bricks 4 Kidz after school enrichment classes are designed to be educational and fun. We teach children principles of science, technology, engineering and architecture utilizing motorized LEGO(R) models. Each lesson is unique and designed to engage your child’s mind.
